March 25, 2013 - American Federation of Motorcyclists approves entry of Brammo
                          Electric Motorcycles to race against

January 9, 2011 - Chip Yates entered his SWIGS electric superbike in two WERA races at Auto Club Speedway in southern California.  The first race was the WERA Heavyweight Twins Superbike race, where he finished 3rd.  Later in the day, Yates rode the SWIGS bike to second place in the WERA Heavyweight Twins Superstock race.  Read the press release here.





October 9, 2010 - Moto-Electra enters the GP350 class at Barber Motor Sports Park in what is thought to be the first sanctioned gas vs. electric motorcycle race.  The elctric bike started in the back of the field and worked its way up to finish first.  The team then officialy withdrew the bike from the race, so that it didn't upset the championship standings.
